Do healing and preaching go hand in hand? On the contrary, they do not go hand in hand, but they complement each other on many occasions.

In my experience with healing and preaching, they complement each other but not in the way you think. We will talk about that later. Here are a few stories of actual events. The first one was a woman who came to our city with her husband. They came to visit, not knowing what was going to happen to her. We talk, laugh, and learn things from each other but so far, we did not talk about God. Once we were in my office, which was in the basement, they were amazed by what I was doing. I asked her if she wanted to try this relaxing meditation while lying on the massage table. We thought that time was short. After awhile, her husband said they have time,so she decided to try this meditation technique. Here is the thing about meditation, you ultimately need to be on one side of the spiritual realm otherwise it may cause many alarming issues. This will be talk on another topic. After she lay down on the table, I asked her to close her eyes and, if possible, to think of nothing. Especially not to think about prayers or healings nor think about making deals with God. In other words, try to keep your mind clear. If this is difficult, then think of a park that you like, and enjoy revisiting that moment. At the same time, you do that, I will be praying.

Now, who did I pray for? Many people would pray to their gods. Me, I pray to the one God, the God of the Universe and His Angels. Yes, I was Catholic from birth and then Pentecostal from my Spiritual Birth. Learning about other modalities brought me more confidence in the power that God has given us through the Holy Spirit. So I started laying my hands on her while asking God to guide me and bring healing to her body, not knowing what God's intention was going to be. After about five minutes, I asked her how she felt. She was very relaxed, and she enjoyed it. I asked her if she would be ok if we go for the full thirty minutes. She replied yes, if we have time. I said to her that her husband and his sister in law were fine, and so shall we be.

Everything started to be more interesting. While I was doing the laying of hands on her, I could feel something going to her, an energy that I never experienced. This was great, and I felt very confident something positive was going to happen. After the thirty minutes were over, I asked if we were done and the Holy Spirit said three more minutes. So my reply was, ok, three more minutes, let's do this. I was checking the clock, three minutes to go. So when the meditation was over, I thanked and appreciated God and the Holy Spirit for their help and guidance.

Now I asked her to sit up slowly and tell me how she is feeling. She said she never felt more relaxed in her life. So I asked her how she feels and to tell me everything. She started with a headache. So I put my hands on either side of her head for a few seconds, and then I moved them away, and she said my headache is gone. I asked her one more time how she is feeling. She mentioned about her arms that usually, she could not go further than horizontal. After that, she has pain, and she has to bring her arms down. I asked her to lift her arms up slowly so as not to aggravate her issue, but to see if something happened. She was able to bring her arms straight up with no pain. She did that motion a few times and was puzzled about what just happened.

At that point, I was also pleased, knowing that God has done something for her. Next, I asked her to stand, face the table and put her hands on the table. I would then have my hands on each side of her body, not touching her, just there if she loses her balance. She agreed, and then I asked her to do a squat. She said she usually has a problem with that because she can not get back up, her muscles are too weak in her legs, but she gave it a try. She went down and backed up. Now she knows something is going on, but she feels uncomfortable. She said; can I do this squat again, but this time, not touching the table? I responded sure you can, but I would still like to have my hands on either side, just in case you lose your balance. She agreed. She lowered down and back up with no difficulty. She was happy and at the same time confused. In the past, she tried many things to get her legs to work, and nothing happened, and now many things are happening.

My last question to her was, could you stand and bend over to touch your toes. She agreed but once again warned me that her back is usually very tight. She started going down to touch her toes but stopped halfway and came back up. She said that she could not go further. My reply was I would like to have my hands, one in front of your waist and the other hand on the other side and neither touching her body. She agreed, and she stood there. The moment I put my hands in those locations, she started to feel the heat around her waist and nowhere else. The heat was getting stronger, so I moved my hands further away from her body, but she kept saying that the heat was still increasing. The more I was moving further away, the more heat was going to her to the point that she felt uncomfortable. I removed my hands and thought the heat would stop. The heat stopped and now she said that fears are setting in. I was able to calm her and tell her that everything was ok, that her body needed some attention and that God or the Universe was helping her recover. Now for the test, I asked her to touch her toes. She bent down with no problem, no pain, just happy.

She received her full healing that day. Many times we think that God heals only the Christians, and that is not true. Does God heal those who are about to become Christians? Not all the time. Do you think God will keep track of what He has done for you in your life? Not for a second. He does what He does because He cares about all of us. He still thinks that you will make the right choice one day and ask Him to be part of His family. At that moment, the winner is you and Him.

Here is my second true story. For sixteen years, I prayed for my wife to become part of God's family. And then it happened. Since she came to God, she has been reading her bible every morning, as well as praying and helping people. God loves to see those who love others as she loves herself. I am so happy for her.

One more thing that just happened to me while I was writing this topic and that was my software was about to crash. When this happens, everything you just did disappears into thin air, and you will have to start over. So I started to pray and asked the Holy Spirit to help the computer not to crash. I could still see the Not Responding at the top of this software. I was closing my eyes so I can believe the Holy Spirit would fix this, and then it came back. Right away, I saved the document, which I had not done.

So you can see that sometimes we get caught up in our actions and we forget what the Holy Spirit warned us. Then we pray, and this time it got fixed. Another time, I might have to learn that lesson the hard way.

Always remember that what you do is for the Glory of God. Therefore never expect anything in return when you do something for someone. God is in control, and He has a plan. A leader never reveals the plan to his/her soldier. Take the next step, come to God and declare that we only have one Master, and enjoy seeing people get healed and coming to God's house. This life with God never ceases to amaze me.
